Underwhelming Saturday

So, it's Saturday. Today I've, surprise surprise, gone running and watched ice hockey. My life seems to be getting pretty boring, again I have no intention whatsoever in going out and about to have some beers. I've been doing pretty well on the being healthy and stuff - stuff, so why ruin it.

That said, I don't know if my sobriety will hold for the 24th as I was planning to, since I just noticed that next week is the Eurovision week. I have had this long running tradition of watching that crap, guilty pleasure or some shit like that, and lets face it, I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to sit through hours on end of campy crap on a Saturday night while totally sober. When you're a bit drunk it's way more fun and a bit less cringe-worthy. Anyone know if there are any good songs this year? I already know Finland is terribad, but hopefully there's at least something I can root for...

    4. ok, I thought that a hookah was meant to smoke pot, but apparently i was wrong! ... so, you truly are a healthful guy, great for you, Jani! (( ignoring the fact that tabacco maybe bad for your lungs, of course hehe))

If only everybody could understand this... Spain would have won for sure.

This was the most epic thing Spain has ever sent there.

  4. Btw this has nothing to do with your post ...but, however has something to do with entertainment... tonight i´ve watched Iron man 3, and and I totally recomend it, if you didn´t saw it, of course ... the Eurovision week is a contest?

  5. Denmark ("Only Teardrops") is supposedly some kind of favorite to win, it has pretty damn catchy chorus.

Nothing super exciting. I still think it would be more intersting if they sang in their mother tongue so I could rather concentrate on the sound of the foreign language than on the bad music...

  10. Ok I never followed this, so I actually bothered myself in looking out who are we sending from Italy..
It's Marco Mengoni, a young guy that has become famous by winning the XFactor thing some years ago, and then the Sanremo Festival, which is our official very-very-very-softpop music national contest. Not a bad one, he has a very nice voice and some freaky technical skill, but the songs... My god...
    Here's a sample:

  11. Just checked out the French song... Did they really intend to win when they made this choice?? Guess they want to troll the competition since there's almost not any talent left in here
